For women
to grasp the reality that true beauty and self worth can only be
attained through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to
practically and joyfully apply the Word of God and it's life changing
principles to the lives of their children, family and friends so that
the legacy of faith in Christ will continue.
A Spa Girls presentation can be loosely compared to the song from the movie Mary Poppins... "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down..."
The sugar
is the fun, beauty and makeup tips, stories about our families ,
etc... that we provide in order to bring women into a warm, receptive
and friendly common ground atmosphere;
"To
the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to
all men so that by all possible means I might save some."
1 Corinthians 9:22
The medicine
is the healing power of the living Word of God that is proclaimed
throughout our presentations and testimony that has the ability to
transform an individual's heart and life,
"For
the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12
And we are merely the instruments or spoons that are used to funnel his Word of love, peace and forgiveness to these women.
"In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but
also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for
ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an
instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and
prepared to do any good work. " 2 Timothy 2:20-21
